The Countdown Begins..
Well, just a month to go now til the trip. We leave the UK on July 19th for Hong Kong...exciting stuff!
Most the the arrangements are done. Just a bit of NZ accommodation left to decide when we get there. Realised the other day we are only allowed one case with a 20kg weight limit, so we need to travel very light. Maybe we should take nothing and buy as we go..
We begin with Hong Kong, then onto Sydney for 3 days, then 2 days at Uluru (Ayres Rock). After that, it's down to Adelaide to stay with Sarah and Ambra for 5 days, with a day sight seeing in Alice Springs on the way. After that, it's onto Auckland and some Xena pigrimages. Then Rotorua and hot springs for a few days. We fly from Rotorua to Christchurch to stay with Ann and Gary then, with a trip back up the coast to Kaikoura for dolphin swimming if the weather is ok. After a bit of time in Christchurch, it's Queenstown for 5 days. Skiing is planned, and hopefully that tandem skydive if Louise is up for it. From there, we head to Las Vegas, crossing the international dateline. (August 21st will be a looong day! Oddly enough, it's my sister-in-law's birthday, and Emma from school's wedding day. Remember that date...) After a fwe days in Vegas (and a helicopter trip over the Grand Canyon) we head home and collapse in a heap!!
Now, decisions, decisions. How much currency to take, what to pack....
